For my cardboard project I wanted to create a stool that I could sit on in my art room. I wanted it to be small and functional so that it didn't take up too much room. Once I created the stool from cardboard it was lacking visual appeal. I decided to make it look like a mushroom so it went along with one of my art studio walls that is Alice in Wonderland themed. I bought black faded fabric to cover the cardboard base of the stool to make it look like the stem. Next I created a cardboard top that will allow more comfort and surface area to sit on. I bought "fluff" to stuff inside the cushion top. It was difficult to shape it to look like a mushroom top so I had to push more into the middle. After I added cardboard fabric circles to really give it that mushroom look that you see in cartoons. It looks really nice in my art studio and I'm happy with the outcome.
